At 55 years of age, I’m way too young to need replacement knees. But with hypermobility throughout my body, I was expecting it. Six months ago when I was told I would need a knee brace on my left knee, I was a bit vain about it. Then three months later my right knee was causing so much Pain, I didn’t know what to do with myself. Mr Melton agreed to replace both my knees.Here I am today, recovering from my second knee replacement. For the first time in a long time, we are planning a walking holiday for when Covid lets us out. I cannot express sincerely enough the skill and care provided by my surgeon, his secretary, and all of the staff at Nuffield hospital.

I can highly recommend Mr Melton. Before seeing him I could barely walk. The cartilage in my knee had gone, so it was bone against bone and extremely painful. Mr Melton carried out a robotic assisted knee replacement. I had minimal pain after the operation and after 7 weeks I can walk without crutches. I feel that he and his team have given me my life back. Mr Melton is extremely pleasant, explained the procedure to me and I had total confidence in him.

Mr Melton is without a doubt the best Consultant I have had. As someone with a lifelong connective tissue disorder, I have seen multiple Consultants over the years but none have been as supportive as Mr Melton. He listens to you, validates any fears and worries you have and then works with you to find solutions. I recently had a 3 in 1 complete patellofemoral joint reconstruction with tibial tubercle transfer and despite being major surgery, the whole process was better than any minor surgery I’ve had. I have seen 4 different orthopaedic consultants over the last 15 years and Mr Melton is by far the best and is the only surgeon I trust explicitly. 100% recommend going to see him for any knee issues

I recently a had an Arthroscopy. The whole process; initial consultation, scans and x-rays and finally surgery was fast and efficient. I felt well informed throughout. The improvement is my knee is amazing. I have recovered quickly. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Mr Melton and his team.

I would easily recommend Mr Melton. My arthroscopy was a great success. My recovery was completely pain free and I will be looking him up again next time I need advice.
